How did we come to this level of parenting?
From the warm safe comfort of the womb, the child comes out into the cold cold air…..he has been through enough trauma of the birth. He most certainly needs the loving comfort of the warm hold of his parent.
Why do we deny our young that comfort and security? Will not those hugs and cuddles we give them also be beneficial to the giver? And who taught us to curb affection? Who taught us to deny what comes naturally to living creatures…..the caring and the nurturing we are meant to do…..
Let’s bring love back into our giving. Let’s bring warmth back into our touch. Let’s make our relationships with our children unconditional!
